Speech Buddies

The three videos definitely had some useful tips for delivering a speech. However, as I've stated in my previous blog I don't have a big fear of public speaking, it is what it is. One of the things I did find useful in the clips was the visualization method that Janine used. Although I have never really taken any speech classes or seminars it seems natural for me to do this before I do anything that requires me to focus a little harder then usual. I close my eyes and picture how I’m going to give the speech, where I’m going to try and be funny or serious and just get a good vibe going so that all falls into place when its time to get it done.

  1. buzz,

not having a fear in public speaking must be really relieving for you. you mention a good tip for all of us to use which is "I close my eyes and picture how I’m going to give the speech, where I’m going to try and be funny or serious and just get a good vibe going so that all falls into place when its time to get it done. " and you are right, the vibe of the setting decides your speech, whether it could be funny or serious. thanks for the great tip buzz lightyear

  3. I think you're are so lucky not to have a fear of public speaking. I think it's interesting that you already used some of the useful aspects of the chapter without even reading about them. To me it's a gift not to have to worry about talking in front of class and not to get anxiety. Public speaking is definetly a challenge for me and I found that the book was very useful but if you have any tips with public speaking feel free to let me know I always like to get an actual opinion of a common person not just a book that tells you what to do.
